The amazing gals at How Does She and the folks from Silhouette asked if I would like to try out their new digital craft cutting machine…If I didn’t like it, I could send it back, no questions asked. I’ve been longing for a cutting machine for ages, so this was a no-brainer for me.

The Silhouette is a digital craft cutter that connects to your computer just like a printer. But instead of printing designs, it cuts them with a little blade! I have seen some examples of some great t-shirt designs using the heat transfer option. I would fill my closet with some cool tops if I won this giveaway.
Oh My Goodness!!! What would I do first? There are so many things, I could hardly pick!!! First thing (if I have to choose), I would be sticking vinyl on just about EVERYTHING!!! If I won I’d probably pass out from overload of all the project possibilities!!!

I went to the digital cutting website and would love to use this machine to create a vinyl decal for a room I have just decorated!

I would start with glass etching. I’d be making everybody something special for Christmas gifts this year. Maybe a wine glass with their name etched on it, or a casserole dish with their family monogram, or a framed photo of a family with their last name etched on the glass… the possibilities are endless! Glass etching though would be my first activity of many!

I didn’t even realize it could do vinyl decals! After looking at what the system can do, I think that would be my first project – signs for my kids doors.
