SQUEEEEEE!! I am so excited to tell you about this giveaway today! I’ve had to keep this fabulous secret to myself for a few weeks and I thought I was going to burst!
The amazing gals at How Does She and the folks from Silhouette asked if I would like to try out their new digital craft cutting machine…If I didn’t like it, I could send it back, no questions asked. I’ve been longing for a cutting machine for ages, so this was a no-brainer for me.
I have fallen head over heels in love with this fabulous little machine and one of you will get to welcome it into your home too!
The Silhouette is a digital craft cutter that connects to your computer just like a printer. But instead of printing designs, it cuts them with a little blade! The Silhouette is totally different (and fabulous!) because there are no expensive cartridges to purchase. You can use the fonts already on your computer or purchase designs from the Silhouette Online Store for only 99 cents!
I was blown away by all the things you can do with the Silhouette. Obviously, it’s an incredible machine for all you scrapbookers out there. I’m not a scrapbooker myself, but I’m going to have a really hard time justifying $4.00+ for greeting cards when I can make my own with the Silhouette.
Of course, I couldn’t wait to try it out for myself. After a pretty easy set-up, I whipped up this little piece of birthday artwork for my son’s bedroom. Side note: How is it possible that my BABY is turning 4?
There are so many things to try and I’m dying to get to know my new machine even better. Glass etching? Yes, please!!!! Vinyl wall decals??? Oh yeah!!! Heat transfers for fabric and clothing???? AWWWW YEAH!
There’s even a Silhouette Blog where you can find tons of inspiration and free weekly downloads!
Are you dying to find out what you can win? Here’s the deal…One lucky winner will receive a prize worth $299.99! The prize packages includes:
- Silhouette machine
- Software for Windows XP/Vista
- Power cable, USB cable
- 2 Cutting mats (one for thick media, one for thin media)

I’d have to go with the baby crib or elephant and then Halloween
I AM unbelievably excited to win this!
The first thing I would do would be to use it for decorations for my son’s upcoming birthday party . . . and a picture for my wall (I love the branches design)!
I love the truck designs and that you can actually use them to decorate clothes for my boys! What fun!
I would LOVE one of these! Oh baby, yeah!
I love all the big bold graphic prints! Tasty tasty.
What would my first project be? Probably some cute wall art for my daughter’s room!
OH MY GOSH, I NEED THIS!! And I didn’t even know something like this even existed!! But it would allow me to put something on a leaded-glass window that I just found at a thrift store. This would make that happen!!
I’ve been wanting to get some vinyl wall decals. With this I could just make my own. How wonderful that would be!
I would be so incredibly excited to win such a wonderful machine!! WOOHOO!
Love the monograms
I would be pulling all-nighters in my craft room if I won the Silhouette!! Awesome!!
Ooh! First project would be a few “heat transfer” projects!
First download would be the set of transportation designs. Car/Tugboat/Helicopter/Airplane for my little man!
Oh man oh man oh man OH MAN! I really want to win one of these so that I can make vinyl stick ons for my Kitchen Aid mixer. Thor (yes, I named it) definitely needs some sprucing up!
I would be so happy I’d let my son videotape me doing a happy dance and actually post it on my blog – you know, I’m always the one behind the camera, and that’s for a reason, so to say I’d actually post something showing me – well, that’s big!
My absolute first project would be to do some glass etching. I LOVE it! And, I’ve got an ugly lightcover that could be prettied up in no time!
Oh wow! They’ve added halloween designs since I looked at the website last. Love it! I would do something crafty, crafty, crafty for my favorite holiday ever!
I facebooked about it!
I’d be so darned excited to win it and I’m giddy just thinking about it! Please pick me!!! Thanks!
I have a Silhouette and love it, but I would be unbelievably excited to win this for my sister who is longing for her own!

There is a such a long list of things I would do with this machine, but with school fast approaching I’m sure the first thing I would do is use it to personalize my children’s school supplies, pencil boxes, backpacks, book covers etc.
I love the flower designs they have, soft and dainty, perfect for customizing some boring throw pillows I have in my bedroom.
Wow! This certainly is an exciting giveaway!
Oh WOW there are so many crafts I would do!!! My daughter starts kindergarten next week and how much fun would this be to have to help with classroom projects and things to make for school fundraisers!!!! I am a craft/party planning junkie, and this would def. be a WONDERFUL thing to have.

My first project would be trying out the heat transfer to make a cute shirt for my daughter.

I want to do the notebook cover decorating! I love putting all the of ‘pile’ on my counter into notebooks.
I would love to win this! I would make matching shrits for my 3 boys.

How awesome is this?!! After I added monograms to all kinds of things in and around my house, I’d start on my classroom! Our class mascot is an owl and with all of those adorable owl designs I could not only decorate my classroom, but personalize ALL sorts of things for my students! LOVE it!

It looks like everyone is excited about this giveaway! I am pretty sure I would be doing the happy dance if I won this amazing ‘tool for creativity’! Thanks for the opportunity to try!
Ok … so I visited their website and I definitely think my first project would be something having to do w/ the heat transfer ideas!! wow! the # of t-shirts I could make!! **LOVE**
My first project would be some glass etching – I need to provide my kiddos with some privacy in the hall bathroom and an etched window would be charming!
I found the perfect design in the downloadable designs – a wave pattern with sea shells! We have a beach/seashell/lighthouse thing going on in the hall bathroom ( boy friendly) and all the etching designs I’ve seen were too swirly and girly for our growing up too fast young man – the subtle waves would be perfect!
Of course if I have fun with the hall bathroom, our daughter’s tiny powder room window would look amazing with any of the swirl designs in etching!
I have been wanting my own Silhouette since they first came out! I’ve seen them all over blogland, and I am seriously wanting this! What a great giveaway, thanks for the opportunity!
I think my very first project would be one of the subway art projects I’ve seen. I’ve got some great neutral tiles that would be a great background, now all I need is the vinyl cutting tool….hint hint wink wink!!
I love one of the birds on a branch designs, I think it would make a great accent somewhere around the house–and since my nickname is “Birdie”, I think it’s especially fitting!
Oh my goodness, I would absolutely LOVE this machine!! My mind is reeling with all of the fabulous things I could do with this!! What a great giveaway!

I would definitely do something with vinyl for my living room. I’ve been wanting to do that for a while now. This would give me the chance.
I love all the holiday graphics on the free downloads, especially the Halloween stuff.
Please, please, pretty please with sugar on top pick me! I would be so unbelieveably happy to win! These machines are awesome!
The first thing I would do is buy some heat transfer vinyl and make t-shirts for everyone I know!
I really love the car downloads. I would totally put them up on the walls of my one-year olds bedroom!
The thought of winning this makes me sweat. I know, gross. I don’t *actually* sweat, but I get nervous enough to!
Very first project…
turn my dining room into the coolest homeschool room… ever. I have a very important kindergartener that will be learning in there!
Favorite downloadable design… there’s a bunch! I like the words “the kids”… Because that’s pretty much my answer for everything. Why were you late? “The kids.” Who are you taking to the doctor? “The kids.” What are you up to these days? “the kids.” Who did it? “Not me.”
Ok, so maybe “the kids” isn’t the answer to everything.

I may have squeed so loud I woke my sleeping husband and newborn. That’s how excited I am!
First project? Vinyl decal for our front door!
The little pumpkins are an adorable download. Imagine them in a front window starting next month.
Well even though I am comment number 2695 I don’t want it any less than anybody else!!!!
Well first I would label all the glass jars and canisters in my pantry, then I would make a vinyl chandelier for my bedroom……………..
I would choose the Damask_0852.gif!!!
the owl designs are just too adorable!

First thing I’d to is make my kiddos some super cute t’s!!
I just heard about the silhouette cutter and I can’t believe it. I have owned the cricket cutter for 4 years now and haev used it to make everything from scrapbook pages to motorcycle decals but I have always had a problem with the fact that I can’t use my own designs and images I have to use the ones on the cartridges. It is about time that a company like silhouette makes the break and creates a great product like this. I would be so excited to win and I have a whole group of scrapbooking friends that will me very excited to hear about this new product.
I need one of these! My first projects would be Christmas presents. I’m determined to make most of my gifts this year, and this would make that endeavor so much easier! I’m thinking glass etched plates and containers. Than I’d probably label everything in my house with vinyl. : )
