Favorite Things

Hi friends! I asked my friend Emily from remodeling this life to share her favorite projects from DIY Day this week.

I like to think of Emily as my wiser, decorating soul-sister.  I wish she lived next-door so  I could go drink coffee in her fabulous kitchen (that she complete remodeled for $3,000).


She can decorate like nobody’s business, but it’s her reminders to join in, keep blogging in perspective, and why being in debt sucks that solidified my adorations. There’s something about her writing that feels like a deep, cleansing breath. Dramatic much?

Hi Everybody! I’m Emily and so glad to be here at Kimba’s place today. I even put on cute shoes for the occasion and made a fresh pot of coffee. I love Kimba and her home here on the internet so I couldn’t have been more thrilled when she invited me to choose the favorite things from this week’s DIY Day. I was completely overwhelmed at the amount of talent out there. Every single project had so much love and care put into it and I really enjoyed visiting you all and being inspired. Here are my favorite things from this week:

Record Cabinet Gone to the Birds. Simply gorgeous.

Pottery Barn Knock Off: Ribbon and Bird Chandelier. Fabulous!!

I love the simplicity and charm of this Shutters Memo Board.

I’ll take this living room makeover to go, please.

I love the idea for this Tiered Terracotta Planter. Great tutorial, too!
