Sometimes, the simplest, most inexpensive little updates make me happy.
Our house came with all sorts of basic builder stuff like these hand-towel circle things in all the bathrooms. They’re functional and I’ll bet that half of you have them in your bathrooms too. But they’re kind of boring, don’t you think?
It took about 10 minutes to replace this one in the kid’s bathroom with an iron hook that I bought at Big Lots for $1.50. A single hook would have made more sense for a hand towel, but I was using what I had in my stash.
What could I hang on the other hook?
While I was in there, I took a picture of myself in the mirror. Just for fun.

I’d probably hang a towel in another coordinating color…one for each kid.
That’s a good idea! Except I think one of my kids is color blind.
Maybe stripes for one, polka dots for the other.

whoa! what a difference… so, what you’re saying is you don’t like my run of the mill round hand towel holder? Maybe I should think about changing mine out too! So simple, but a huge difference!

i also have a double hook for my hand towel – i just drape it across both hooks. I like that more surface area it exposed.

Kimba, I love that you did that. I have removed ALL the “traditional” towel holders from my house and replaced them with cute hooks of some sort. Pretty and functional….my favorite combo!
