Today’s post is proof that I love you. Hallelujah and Amen. It seemed like a good idea a few weeks ago at 3am. Now? I’m not so sure. But I’m plowing ahead regardless of my second thoughts. And I don’t have anything else written for today.
If there are any fellas here, you should probably just go check out ESPN. There’s nothing for you to see here today. We’re going into the inner sanctum of female beauty rituals. You’re better off not knowing what goes on in here.
So let’s talk about the burning question. Wax or tweeze? Which do you do?
In case it’s not obvious, before is on the left…after is on the right.
I’m a waxing kind of girl. Tweezing is a slow torture. Waxing gets it over with quickly. I make an appointment every 3 weeks or so and it costs $10 + tip. Worth every penny.
In my “after” picture it looks like my one eyebrow is oddly arched and my other is not. I know not why. They look the same in real life.
And since I know that someone is going to ask…Yes. I wax the ‘stache too. The bane of the dark haired girl. One day everything looks fine. The next day, I look like Uncle Vinnie.
Your turn. Wax or Tweeze?

Ugh, I wish I could wax. I’m super-cheap, so for now I painstakingly pluck them out. My eyebrows are pretty light and thin, though. So it’s not too hard of a job. If I had more hair, I would definitely wax!

Waxing! I always make sure to include it in my budget. I feel as though I look ten pounds lighter when they are all trimmed up!
I wax and I do it myself. I was able to cash in on a huge sale combined with a coupon, combined with a gift card at Sally’s Beauty Supply and bought me a wax pot. I wax my brothers, sister, stepdad, hubby and myself. 13 year old son is next . . . his brows are turning into one.

Girl, I’m so with you on the waxing. Everything is soft and smooth afterwards. My sweet little grandmother used to ask me to “pluck” her chin. My mother and aunt did it, but I just could not do it for her. I thought I would hurt her — as tough as she could be at times, I’m sure it didn’t bother her much. But I just could not do it. Hurt me to think about it.
I’ve had the dreaded unibrow since I was 11. My mom started waxing them and I still do. I would be plucking for 2 hours a day if I didn’t !
Tweeze the brows, wax the ‘stache. I’m too cheap to pay someone else to do it, but I have to stay on top of it, or I start looking a bit like a certain yellow, bottle-cap-collecting, pigeon-loving muppet.

Tweeze! I’m lucky that I’m not very hairy and the tweezing only involves a few plucks under my eyebrows every few days. I think I have my father’s Asian heritage to thank!

Tweeze. Unfortunately, I am allergic to something in the wax so I sit through the torture of tweezing.
