Apparently, I’ve been living under a rock because EVERYBODY is making and wearing these adorable zipper flowers and I’m just finding out now. Where are my jelly shoes, anyway? Here’s a great tutorial from Craftaholics Anonymous.

This gorgeous guest bedroom @ High Heeled Foot in the Door makes me want to use rich, glorious color everywhere in my house.

In typical Kimba fashion, I forgot to announce the winner of the giveaway from An Eye for Art by Juli Karoly. The winner of the single custom portait is Kathleen of Fireflies and Families.

Juli Koroly is generously offering all of my readers 20% off any order AND free shipping! You can either order through her Etsy shop and use the code KIMBA, or you can email Juli directly at msboo42 {at} sbcglobal {dot} net. This would make a fantastic Mother’s or Father’s Day gift for someone you love!

~~~~~~~~~~
Huge thank yous to Beth Peele of Stella & Dot for sponsoring DIY Day this week! The winner of either the GOA Pendant Earrings or the Glint Flower Earrings is Amber of {ae filkins}. Congratulations, Amber!
Make sure you check out Beth’s blog, Design A-Peele for great decorating ideas and her Stella & Dot boutique for some super-HAWT jewelry!
Your jelly shoes comment cracked me up. Jelly shoes and Alf. We must be from the same generation.
Scooch over and make room for me under your rock, because I hadn’t seen those zipper flowers yet either!
I’m not a jewelry girl but that zipper flower is super cute! And I heard it from you so if you are under the rock where does that leave me?
Oh, the jellies! I’ll admit I had several pair. Even then, young girls would wear painful shoes if they were in fashion! :) LOL!! Thanks for the heads up on these bloggers, I’ll be checking them out…
Blessings,
Hi Kimba. I’ve never seen those bracelets either. I must be living under a rock too. LOL What vibrant colors in the bedroom post. Very pretty!
That bracelet caught my eye, too. I could never make it look that cute though. Linda has an amazing sense of style. She has a denim skirt refashion with a denim flower that is also to die for…
My jelly shoes are right next to yours in your good enough mud room, alongside my leg warmers. :) xoxox
I always love your “Favorite Things” post. I’m quite sure that every DIY Day participant has her fingers crossed that her project will catch your eye. But you always manage to come up with some nice selections from a wide variety of sources. You’re very diplomatic. Maybe you could work for the State Department! Nah, I think you should keep your current job. I love for you to be Kimba at ASPTL.
Have a great weekend!
