Love all your resolutions, but #4 hits home most for me. I need to find that time early in the morning and get the day started off right. I also have prayed the I would be more kind to everyone, especially my kids.

I think that those are some wonderful goals to have. I have been guilty of wasting way more time online than I care to admit. I love the internet and all the friends that I have made but it can take over my life. Good luck and I will be trying too.

Oh my word….I’m rooming with you. I will SO do your eye makeup. I used to do it for years…just one of those things I never blogged about but I do feel a blog post coming up along with my “ways to save money on hair” post.
Seriously, don’t lose the ten pounds because I gained ten…we can be ten pounders together.
As for the 5:17 wagon, not getting back on that one, but the heart of the idea…I’m there with you.

You can look at Stories from A to Z’s blog today for makeup or Life in Grace had a great post on makeup a few months ago. Do you have a MAC makeup place close to you??? They’ll do your makeup for FREE!!!!! Worth the time!!!!

My resolutions for 2010…..worry less. Get out of debt. Run more miles than I did last year. Look at blogs LESS (seriously… it’s a time stealer for me).

2010…. it’s the year of RECOVERY!!!!

I think someone already mentioned this, but she really is THE definitive answer — Lauren Luke (aka panacea on youtube). She is in-cred-ible! Seriously! She started out a while ago just making these funny little videos in her apartment. She had a dog that you could always hear snoring away in the background! Hysterical!

Hey Kimba!

Enjoyed your post! I wanted to give you a tip about your eye makeup dilemma. I got married last august, and I have never enjoyed what makeup artists do to my face whenever I have had it professionally done. SO, instead of getting my makeup done for my big day, I went to a local makeup artist and got a “make up lesson.” It cost about the same as her doing it for me, but it was SO informative! I brought in all of my own makeup and she went through it, pulled out colors she thought would look best on me, contrasted day wear, evening wear, consulted on my brushes, etc. AND THEN, finished the whole lesson off with a step-by-step (even wrote it out) make up application lesson, so that I could go home and recreate the fab look myself. Honestly, I will do it again, and I told her, that it is something I would consider doing yearly, just to stay fresh with the trends and make sure I haven’t accumulated something that dates my look!

Just a suggestion, but I think it’s a worth while investment!

I’ll echo Bev with the Sephora suggestion. They’re supposed to be amazing. My local mall will be getting one this Spring and I can’t wait. I am awful at eye shadow too. I want to learn how to apply it without looking like I’m auditioning for a role on Saturday Night Fever….

I need to make a resolution to manage my time more wisely. And to be more organized. I have to not resolved to do any of this. I just keep talking about it. haha

Re; the makeup issue…I just bought a set of Almay eye makeup and it tells you right on the back how to put it on with pictures and everything. I really like it. You could try that.

Make-up? What’s that?

LOL! I’m so totally clueless when it comes to that. I’m also pushing 40. Sigh.

I do love getting up before the kids get up. I get up at 5:30. My girls wake up around 6:50- so I get to have a little bit of me time.

I really need to get out of the internet vortex! I’ve been sucked in by lots of great ideas. BUT it’s hard to get any of those great ideas done if you’re on the computer all the time!

I went to Sephora when they were having a makeup day, had them show me how, and bought every single thing they suggested. I’m still with it 9 months later and look like I have eyes. I was doing all of it completely, completely wrong – no surprise to me!

HI Kimba. One of my goals this year was to stick with my plan of spending time with God before touching my computer. It is working so far … but it’s only been 11 days LOL. I also cut out all the cookies and chocolate last week – just had to! And I wasn’t even going to BlissDom when I decided that! LOL. I feel so much better. OK, this is long, but your list is great and I love your realness GF! Can’t wait to give you a hug — I wonder how much we will all sleep?

New Year resolutions. Hmmm…. I am reading ‘The Secret’ so I resolve to have more positive thinking. Another is to do yoga ~ I keep hearing about the benefits. So glad to see that someone else is making their resolutions a little late. Mine are still in my head and I need to take the time to thoughtfully write them out… You did a very good job by the way. However, the 5:16 club is a bit over rated. I got up for a bit at 5 AM so I could be out walking with friends… I never got used to it and sometimes found myself taking a nap while the kids would ready themselves for school (kidding of course… I would wait until they left ! Sleep is important especially if you’re serious about #1. In regards to make-up: If you have a MAC store near you they do a great job helping select just the right colors. Good Luck to you and I will try to get my “Goals” out by the end of the week!

I like your goal of keeping online time reasonable. I do know that I need to be more conscious of this as well. Like you I’ll jump on “just to check”, and an hour could go by. Not good for the cleanliness of my house, especially since I work outside the home {in addition to my business}, so I should really be concentrating more on the house.

I’m no good at eye make-up either {well, any make-up really}. When I had my picture done for my business {it’s my blog pic, too} I went to a photographer that did hair and make-up for you.

My personal favorite part of this post….”facespace” and “mybook”. But seriously, I agree with the fact that not being careful with your online time can lead to neglecting real-life responsibilities. That is one of my priorities as well…keeping my real-life as the most important part of my life. More power to you, girl!!

I don’t know any makeup blogs but if you know someone who sells marykay or something they can help you. I don’t know how to either and my cousin who sells it showed me and they sell this awesome liquid eye shadow stuff that looks so natural and awesome and really easy to put on.

ok, i’m a little freaked out right now. i’m not a big new year’s resolution maker (the only one i made was to drink only water and milk in effort to lose a little weight without having to exercise more or not eat what i want . . . i’m trying to find the easy way to drop 15 pounds or so!) but if i was a resolution maker those might be my exact resolutions. holy cow! anyhow, just had to say “great resolutions, thanks for the inspiration” hope all goes well!
