Y’all don’t waste any time! The holidays are barely over and you’re right back in the DIY saddle! There are nearly 300 posts linked up to DIY Day this week. It looks like 2010 is going to be a great year for projects!
Two quick things before I share a few of my favorites… There’s only one spot left for my January advertising special, email me if you’re interested.
If you’re interested in sponsoring DIY Day, click here for information on how it works.

2010 Burlap Wreath @ Tatertots and Jello (I am head over heels in love with this wreath. And she gives a great tutorial for how to make your own.)
How I Ruin Antiques @ Remodeling This Life (I laughed so hard when I read this most. Mostly because my hubby is also horrified by my painting ways.)
Farmhouse Track Lighting @ Continental Calliope (This is pure genius! Old ladder + vintage lanterns = gorgeous custom lighting!)
Ikea Shelves Become Entertainment Built-In @ Domestically Speaking (Holy cow! I never would have guessed those were Ikea shelves.)
Lima Bean Wreath @ All Things Thrifty (I know you’re thinking “WHAT?” but seriously, it’s super cute!)

$25 Craigslist Buffet Makeover @ Hennessey House (Love it! Love it! Love it! Click over to see the “before” AND the artwork above the buffet. Love that too!)
Home Ec 101, What You Wish Your Mama Taught You: I just recently discovered this delightful blog and thought you would like it too. It’s jammed full of articles about how to Cook It, Clean It, Fix It or Wash It. Everything you wish you knew about taking care of your home and the people in it.

Awesome! Yeah, I had seen that Burlap Wreath when Jen first posted it…and have been mulling it over in my head, wondering how I could make my own version of it (with things I already have here). I just love it so much!

Hi Kimba,
I really like your new blog site. I have notice quite few blogs are now in wordpress. Is there an advantage to wordpress over blogger?
All of these projects are nice and give me some good ideas.
Blessings in 2010!
Hi Crystal!
Here’s a great article from Darcy at Life With My 3 Boybarians and Graphically Designing that pretty much summed up the reasons I moved. There are definitely lots of advantages to WP but that doesn’t mean it’s the right thing for everyone.

Thank you so much for linking to my site. Your kind words really mean a lot to me. I’m looking forward to meeting you at Blissdom.

Seriously? Gosh. My greatest DIY project this week has been putting my Christmas decorations away. Oh, alert the media. My lights are very well-organized.
Anyway, thank you for this recap. I haven’t made it to very many DIY Day entries yet, but I’ll be sure to look at these. Maybe I’ll be inspired to actually get something done around here!
Love you!

Thanks for doing these recaps Kimba – I often do have time to get thru many of the links, but I do click thru your recaps…….and usually find myself lost in a few “new to me” blogs for hours!……..thanks, you want to come over now and bake the 48 cupcakes I SHOULD be baking this morning instead of trolling blogs? LOL
Have a GREAT weekend!

I love the buffet table.. I’ve been looking for one, but can’t really find any I like. I might have to go on craigslist and try to find one.

I love all your DIY day posts! As a matter of fact….I just love your blog. I check your blog & Nesting Place every morning with my email! This is totally off topic, but I was wondering if you wre going todo any more posts in your decorating a boys room series? My little boys are 3 & 1 and we are about to start the process of going to a big boy room. I love the perfect boy blue (about to go buy it as a matter of fact) and would love to see more of the room and get more ideas! Thanks & keep up the great work!
Fun!
