I’m happy that I moved my blog to WordPress, but there are a couple of Blogger things that I miss. One of them is being able to see all of your pretty faces when you comment on my posts. Since most of you have Blogger accounts (even if you don’t have a blog), your picture showed up next to your comments.

I liked that. It helped me put your faces with your names and feel like I know you better. (It also prepared me to stalk you should I ever see you at that mall.) But now, I see a whole lot of this…

Did you know that you can have your picture pop up whenever you comment on WordPress blogs? I’m no genius when it comes to technical things, but I did it and it’s easy.
You just create a Gravitar account (and add your picture) and then whenever you comment on a WordPress blog, your picture shows up. Poof! Easy like pie.
PS. It’s free. I like free.
PPS. Come on. Try it. You know you wanna.

I’m still on Blogger, and what ever I did when I did my blog makeover last year, I can’t get those avatar pictures to show up in my comments on Blogger

Hi Connie and anyone else who is having a problem!
You don’t need a WP account to sign up for Gravitar. When you click over to their site, just click on the button that says “Get Your Gravitar today” and it will walk you though the process of setting it up.
You want to sign up using whatever email address you use to comment on WP blogs. You sign up by giving them your email, they send you a confirmation, you click on the link in the confirmation email and you can set it up.
Sounds more complicated than it really is.
Just signed up…checking to see if it works…

Imagine my surprise when I saw my photo in a blog post! You want to know something funny. That was my first photo that I used on my profile. I was pregnant at the time. That baby is now 3 years old. I have no idea how to change the photo! It keeps showing up everywhere even thought I have changed my profile several times. Good thing I liked that photo.
Any idea of how to change that?
