Welcome to DIY Day! Are you ready to share your latest project?
If you’re new here, every Tuesday we get together to share our newest DIY projects. I’m really flexible about what constitutes a DIY project. A furniture makeover, an outdoor project, an indoor project, some new artwork…heck, even a great recipe could qualify as DIY, right?
Today’s DIY Day is coming to us from two tasseling divas, Heathahlee from Butterfly Genes, and the one and only Nester from Nesting Place (more on her in a minute).
Heathahlee blogs at Butterfly Genes and was one of my very first blogging friends. She also has an etsy shop where she sells beautiful decorative tassels that she makes with her very own hands.
If this adorable reindeer tassel isn’t sold by tomorrow. I’m buying it for myself. Seriously.
DEAL ALERT! Heathahlee is offering $1.00 shipping on all of her tassels for November! One lucky winner will receive $25 to spend on their choice of tassels from Heathahlee’s etsy shop. All you have to do is link up a post to DIY Day and you’re entered!
Now, what’s that you say? You want to make a tassel of your own? I firmly believe (so do Nester and Heathahlee) that there are 2 types of people in this world…Tassel makers and tassel buyers. There is very little overlap. You’re either one or the other.
And if you’re a tassel maker (or you want to be), then you need to get yourself a copy of Nester’s latest eBook called The Nester’s Ultimate Guide to Making the Most Beautiful, Proportional, Fluffy and Full Tassels That People Will Fight Over; For You to Give or Sell.
Nester has clearly lost her mind and for only $10 is spilling all of her tassel making secrets, so that you can make your own beauties to keep, give or sell. I’d get a copy quick before she changes her mind!
Now let’s see those DIY Day posts!

Thanks for hosting this fun party!
Nester and a local friend inspired me to put together the two things I love most into my own version of a craft this season. I have been crafting ornaments that take the tassel concept from Nester and the hand-painted concept from Micki. I’m having a blast creating and selling! It’s like free therapy! Happy Thanksgiving, friend!
Great prize for the winner
