DIY Day and a Giveaway!

in DIY Day

Welcome to DIY Day at the new and improved ASPTL! I’m so glad you found me! Are you ready to share your latest project?

If you’re new here, every Tuesday we get together to share our newest DIY projects. I’m really flexible about what constitutes a DIY project. A furniture makeover, an outdoor project, an indoor project, some new artwork…even a great recipe could qualify as DIY, right?

Today, DIY Day is coming to us from the amazing women at (in)courage.me. If you haven’t visited (in)courage yet, you’re in for a treat. My heart is constantly touched by the words written by the amazing woman there.

When they asked me to guest post at (in)courage, I jumped at the chance to be among such wonderful women. I am quite certain that my guest post about A Quick & Easy Fall Centerpiece won’t move you to tears, but snoop around a bit while you’re there. I’ll bet something will speak to your heart.

LL necklace

And (in)courage is generously providing your choice of any Lisa Leonard Necklace from the (in)courage shop as our prize for DIY Day! How can you win?

-Link up a post to DIY Day here at A Soft Place to Land

And/Or

-Leave a comment on my post at (in)courage. (You don’t need a blog to win. Just make sure we have a way to contact you.)

Yes, this week’s prize is open to everyone!

Just a couple of guidelines to help things run smoothly.

  1. Link to your specific post, not the main page of your blog. I HATE having to delete these. It makes me feel like a big meanie.
  2. Include a short description of your DIY project in parenthesis after the name of your blog. This helps people browse the HUGE number of projects. And you get MORE clicks!
  3. Link to this party from your post so everyone can get in on the fun.

Now let’s see those projects!

Hi Kimba! Thanks for hosting DIY day again – so much fun and you’re such a great hostess. So excited about the Lisa Leonard givaway – love her stuff. I tried to link through to your post on Incourage, but it wouldn’t go through. :-(

Congratulations on your new blog home! What a beautiful giveaway your offering. I have not heard of in-courage, but I will be sure to check it out. Thanks for hosting another DIY day!

Super fun getting a new site! How exciting, It looks fabulous!

5 Richella November 9, 2009 at 10:16 pm

incourage is lovely. Really. I think it’s great. But to tell you the truth, I was SHOCKED–I’m not exaggerating, I was so surprised!–that you were not in the group of women who were the original incourage writers. Maybe they asked you but you were unable to participate. Anyway, I find at ASPTL exactly what they’re offering there: encouragement. good ideas. inspiration for living. All of the above.

I haven’t yet been successful in trying to get to your guest post, but I shall keep trying. In the meantime, know how much I appreciate you.

And thanks for hosting DIY Day again! I’ve missed a few weeks, but I’m grateful to be here again. :)

Hey I messed up my link. Ha, no surprise there. Forgot to put my blog name first. oopsey.

Guess that explains why we are friends since your incourage link doesn’t work. I’ve taught you every thing I know. {hee hee hee…sorry!}

I’m not getting updates of your new blog on my Dashboard. It’s stuck on your post announcing your move. I went in through my button for DIY day. I don’t know why it’s not working correctly :( and I sure hate to miss out on your new posts.

So sorry to see you have moved. I really like your blog, but now I won’t be reading it on a regular basis as I can’t find a RSS feed link to put you into my Favorite Feeds list. I’m so disappointed, but on the upside, you have a great new blog site. Thanks for all the posts I have enjoyed.
