A Soft Place to Land Has Moved!

You found me!!! Welcome to my new blog home, my dear friends!

In my never-ending quest to make life more complicated, A Soft Place to Land will now be found at:

http://asoftplace.net/

I am slowly getting settled in, but there are still lots of boxes to unpack and dust to settle. Moving is certainly messy but more than anything I was so worried that my friends wouldn’t find me.

I would be ever so grateful if you would update your blogrolls and links to http://asoftplace.net/. Very thoughtful of me to create more work for you like that, wouldn’t you say?

If you read ASPTL in a feed reader, you’ll need to resubscribe. Just click on my cute little “Subscribe” button on the right to get signed up for my new feed. Pretty please?

If you keep up with blogs in your Blogger Dashboard, then just click “Join This Site” on my Google Friend Connect thingy. It’s just like “Follow” on Blogger, then you’ll receive all my updates in your Blogger Dashboard like always. As I’m publishing this, I have exactly 3 friends. And two of them are me! So sad.

A Soft Place to Land might look a wee bit different, but it’s still the same old Kimba. My dear friend, Darcy from Graphically Designing, held my hand and walked me through the process of moving my site to Wordpress. She is, without a doubt, the Blog Whisperer. Without her help, I would have had a nervous breakdown.

And if you’re wondering, DIY Day will still start tonight at 10pm (eastern time) right here at www.asoftplace.net. You can grab the DIY Day button with the new link in my right-hand sidebar. See you tonight!

I can’t subscribe using Google Reader… it says “the requested feed cannot be found.”

FYI!!! Bummer!! You’re still on my favorites list, though…. but just wanted to let you know in case other people have the same problem.

ok found a solution myself, Elizabeth and anyone else trying to past and copy the ASPTL address into Google Reader. Instead of pasting the address into Google Reader, click on the subscribe button on the right. Once there click on the Google button. Then select, “Add to Google Reader.” Hope that helps.

Kimba, I found you and resubscribed through Google connect. I’m so glad that you didn’t change your overall look as I love the soothing green. I always feel so peaceful when I visit you.

But I do love the new site! Maybe one day I’ll move to Word Press but for now, I’m still a novice on Blogger. I’m glad you had help though from your blog whisperer.

Hugs to you,
Debbie

Congrats on the move! I have GOT to get over to WP and keep telling myself I will do it soon. My goal is to have it done before Blissdom so all the other blogs won’t laugh at me. :-)
Blog Whisperer Darcy should be her blog design name. Love it!

You’re darn right about Darcy! She is the best, isn’t she?

Kimba, your new site looks beautiful. I hope it enables you to do everything you want to do. And as far as I’m concerned, I couldn’t care less if I have to update my blogroll and bookmarks and all that stuff. I’d hunt you down wherever you were. Can’t make it without my Kimba fix.

Hope you’re having a great November!

I’m as anxious as a momma on the first day of kindergarten. Lookin’ good over here, though, if I do say so myself.

I can say that, right?

So happy to see all those pretty faces on the sidebar already!

The feed is misbehavin’ a little bit. The settings were changed, but Google still thinks your feed is off. It works best to go through the feed button for now, as folks mentioned above.

I’m investigating the rogue feed.

Hi there! It looks like the same great site, with a few minor changes. :) I like it! Is WP that much different? Is that why all my favies are moving from blogger? I have a teeny tiny blog, so blogger is good for now for me….just curious as to why all the moves….:)

It looks amazing here though!! Seriously!
