Thursday has rapidly become my favorite day of the week because I love seeing all of your projects!
This week we have a special treat! A prize!!!! Darlene from Flax and Spindle has generously offered one of her beautiful Vintage Post Card Pillows.
The really fun part is that Darlene is going to pick her favorite DIY post as the winner. (She’s a brave gal! I wouldn’t touch that with 10-foot can of spray paint.)
I’ve been oogling over the pillows in Darlene’s etsy shop for ages (I really love the French Postage Bolster Pillow), but I guess I can’t try to win a contest on my own blog, huh?
Well, let’s get to the linking! If you want to use the pretty DIY Day button, you can grab it over in my far-right column. Here’s the rulios…
- Add a permalink to your specific post, not the main page of your blog. If you don’t know what I mean by “permalink” and why it matters, go look in my comments section and I’ll explain.
- Include a short description of your DIY project in parenthesis after the name of your blog. For example, The Padded Room (crocheted light switch cozies).
- Link to this party from your post so everyone can get in on the fun.
- Visit, visit, visit and comment, comment, comment!
- Double-check to make sure your link works and goes to the right page so it doesn’t get deleted! If you come back and see your link is gone, re-read these rules and try again. No worries!

Woo hoo!! I was first! And I love her pillows!
I did it! I paid attention to when you said McLinky was going up! I only have a small project to share, but I'm proud of myself for actually making it to the party on time. Thanks for hosting!
Kimba, you should come down to VA and buy me some coffee…I'm going to be up late tonight reading all these fabulous links!
Thanks so much for hosting, and the giveaway is SO cool!!
Hi y'all! Just a quick explanation of "permalink", if you don't understand.
A permalink is the address that goes directly to a specific post on your blog rather than to your main page. I ask that you use the permalink to your DIY Day post because people click on these links for weeks. If they land on your main page in 2 weeks, they won't see your DIY Day post because it will be buried under more recent posts.
Here's how you get the permalink…
Go to your main page. Click on the title of your DIY Day post. Look up in the address bar of your browser. It should have changed to the "permalink" to your DIY Day post. Copy that address and past it into MckLinky.
Make sense? Cool.
Beautiful pillow! Ah, the wonderful world of Etsy.
Aww, love Darlene of Flax and Spindle! She is such a sweetie. Her items are gorge too! Thanks for having this fun party, Kimba!
That is such a cute pillow! I do not envy Darlene having to pick one favorite from all the amazing projects. Tough job!!
Oops, forgot to put my blog name, but my permalink is there. I love DIY Day!
Hey Kimba~thanks for hosting~your parties are always a smashing good time
It sounds like you had a wonderful vacation!

This is my first time taking part in this little shindig… can't wait to check out all the other projects!!
Her pillows are simply adorable!!! Wish I win!
The pillow is beautiful! Kimba, this is such a fun thing to be a part of. I know that you are so busy with millions of visitors, but I would be so very appreciative of your decorating advice on my DIY post today. Really, I would! You and Nester are the queens of the paint colors and I would be so thrilled to get your advice! Blessings to you!
LOVE the pillow. Don't have a project to share though.
Wow, what a great giveaway, love that pillow!
That's such a gorgeous pillow!! She does awesome work!
This isn't my project, so I didn't put it in the Mr. Linky.

I found it on Apartment Therapy this morning. Bloggers unite and send a 4"x4" tile or two and be part of something amazing.
I love that pillow! I know I won't have the best DIY since mine isn't really creative or crafty this week, but it does involve old postcards that look like the pillow!
I just snuck into the business center in our hotel in D.C. while my kids played their Nintendo DS's just to link up here and look…a prize! How fun, good luck ladies, it's stiff competition for sure. I win either way with great ideas
Come by for my give away.

Hoot Hoot…..I am so glad you have this on every Thurs…This is a every Thur. ritual since you started this. I hope it foloows through to the Fall and Christmas…Really this is the best place to come to is one spot with all the great ladies who share their creations…and even recipes are coming over here to…I really love this weekly treat you have provided…Do I need to get a petition started to keep it going…maybe something to ponder about later on to see if others agree….
Thanks again for this weekly fun day for me!

Aaargh. After reading your directions six times, I messed up. You need to delete 148. Sorry.
That pillow is absolutely darlin'!!
